Welcome to the Bio-inspired Fluid Mechanics Lab at Shanghai Jiao Tong University! We are a lively group of researchers, interested in all kinds of biological phenomenon in the microscopic world, and centered on the theme of experimental fluid mechanics, the topics covered include:
- Bacteria swimming – both individual swimming and collective motion
- Active matter system – the dynamics of biological active matter
- Artificial swimmer design – novel micro/nano swimmers based on biological materials
- Microfluidics – design of new microfluidic channels and devices
Our lab is located at Long Bin Building, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China.
